BVR Production has emerged as a new music imprint from Papua Highlands, carrying the spirit of Baliem into Indonesia’s wider music circulation. Its arrival marks an important step in developing local works, cultural identity, and regional creativity, while opening broader pathways for musicians to introduce their expressions to audiences across different territories through digital distribution networks.

Under its banner, BVR Band (Baliem Valley Roots) stands as a group from the region, with an outfit rooted in Papua’s musical traditions. They have released a fresh single titled “Papua Bukan Tanah Kosong,” featuring a vocal collaboration with Asiam Rasmel. The release is further supported by DSProduction, a Jayapura-based imprint, as part of a collective effort among regional music players.

This latest release marks another significant chapter for independent movements from eastern Indonesia.
