Kulturdotmedia recently got its hands on a limited drop from Jakarta trio Koddim Sound—two CD mixtapes, no wide release, no second press. You either caught them at Holy Market or March Of Mods Bogor, or you missed out. Simple as that. This isn’t about reach—it’s about presence.

The first tape is short, sharp, and built for impact. Dubplates from Mr. Williamz, Protoje, and Dawn Penn don’t sit here as flex—they are the point. This is Koddim Sound in its raw form: exclusive cuts, custom pressure, the kind of material that usually lives and dies in a live session. By pressing it onto CD, they’re not softening it—they’re documenting it.
The second tape stretches out. Longer runtime, slower burn. Selections from Groove Armada, Janet Kay, Jacob Miller, and Hempress Sativa are sequenced with intent. No rush, no clutter. It moves like a set should—measured, controlled, dialed in. Less playlist, more transmission.
Roles inside the trio are clearly defined. Deejay Gantung handles the glue—transitions that don’t just connect tracks, but carry momentum. AK 47 and Risto manage the pressure, keeping the energy locked without overplaying it. Nobody fights for space. Nobody drifts.
What you get here isn’t nostalgia or imitation. It’s a working sound system mindset, pressed into format. Limited, yes—but not precious. Just direct. Just function.
