Aza Lineage LP “Rebel Daawta”

Aza Lineage, a gifted Jamaican soloist, opens her discography with a statement: debut album “Rebel Daawta”, produced entirely by King Jammy — one of the most influential figures in Caribbean recording history and the Jamaican sound system tradition.

Seventeen compositions, and a roster of collaborators that gives this project serious weight. Hi-Times Band holds down the musical backbone. Johnny Osbourne steps in on “A Rub-A-Dub or Two”. Jesse Royal and Brandon Rootsz show up on “No Vagabond”.

“Rebel Daawta” plants Aza Lineage firmly inside an ecosystem with deep roots. King Jammy on production, collaborators who carry real currency, and seventeen tracks anchored in Jamaican tradition. For a debut, this is how you make an entrance.
