One of the defining characteristics of this energetic music unit from the United Kingdom is their ability to channel social unrest into music that irresistibly makes you want to dance. They have been doing this since they first came together, inspiring subsequent generations since 1995.
Celebrating their 30-year musical journey, Asian Dub Foundation is embarking on a special tour and has also released a reworked version of their phenomenal song, “No Fun” (ADF30 Rework). This track was previously released on their album “Punkara” (2008).
Yes, it’s a rendition of the legendary The Stooges song. Not much different from the original composition from the “Punkara” album, this song still carries a unique charm but is now more infused with a dance floor aura and joy! Alongside the eternal legend, Iggy Pop, they invite us to dance anew with fresh vocals and alternate words from Iggy himself.
“No Fun” is indeed different from what “Naxalite” or “Fortress Europe” conveys. If ADF’s collaboration with Iggy Pop this time is a sin, then it’s a reason for us to make hell Joyful!
Do add “No Fun” (ADF30 Rework) to your daily playlist and rejoice!
