Amoye-Idima Meeuwo Tiga

Amoye Band returns with “Idima Meeuwo Tiga,” a reggae composition that reaffirms their musical direction and cultural identity. Rooted in the philosophy of the Mee Tribe’s children, the song becomes a space for Amoye Band to speak about peace, freedom, and a deep bond with their ancestral land.

Formed in Nabire on October 4, 2018, the outfit receives full support from DSProduction Papua. Aten Tebay (vocals), Mochi Badii (guitar), Petrus Pigai (bass), Andy Tebai and Ronny Pekei (keyboards), and Rian Noman (drums) collaborate with Papua’s reggae maestro Dave Baransano, who acts as the producer.

The EP, featuring five compositions—Idima Meeuwo Tiga, Gerbang Cenderawasih, Nona Cenderawasih, Raise Your Hand, and Freedom in the Air—is now available on various digital platforms.
