Asian Frequency

The hype of Jamaican music nexus and its music outfits already went global. In Asia, this was started and grown by the involvement of both the Asian diaspora in Jamaica and those beautiful talents who never stop exploring their love into many Jamaican music nexus.

The transformation of Jamaica – Caribbean Islands’ frequency to Palestine, represented by  Ministry Of Dub Key duo to Indonesian reggae unitt Rub Of Rub is indeed something worth to be noticed. Their exploration in the name of Jamaican music nexus with their own style has altered another interesting harmony from Asia. Another highlight is the criss-cross of language sounds in music, which feels like a resonance that creates a new frequency in harmony. We can trace this through the works of Shyamen Dangamuwa from Sri Lanka, South Asia. Also a contribution from the singer of the reggae unit Kyozawei from Laos, Southeast Asia.

Asia is quite productive to give birth to talented producers, bands, soloists, sound systems, MCs to selectors (DJs) who keep on working their art outside the scope of industry success standards. The various cultures that represent each of these regions have become a color in the journey of Jamaican music in Asia. This difference is another force to be reckoned with in the future.
