Prince Riser is the founder of recently established Cossack Records. Reggae music became his passion years ago when he was a teenager. As a listener, he spent about 5 years before the first try to create a musical composition.

However, his experience as a reggae, dub and dancehall listener had formed his tastes in music and Riser exactly knew what kind of sound he would like to achieve. Inspired by the digital-era Jamaican music, Prince Riser decided to catch the sound of the 80’s in his own riddims. Since then, a producer has gone a long way to gather a lot of legendary vintage synthesizers, drum machines and other gear in his home studio.

Probably, some people would recognize him as an owner of the former reggae label called Sufferers Ocean. Since 2014 till 2019, many talented artists and musicians did their contribution there: George Palmer, Madi Simmons, Jahmeake Ma-Thoth, Ms Jah’licious, Sammy Gold, Sister Sauti, Codiac, and many others, from UK to JA and from RU to NZ.

More than 110 internet singles, 14 albums and some vinyl releases came out of this label, which made Sufferers Ocean one of the most productive reggae labels in Russia. It was his first and very personal project, but if there’s a beginning – there’s must be an ending. In 2019 Prince Riser realized that it’s time to move on and create something new, with all the knowledge and experience he has got from the start and until the present moment.

Today, Prince Riser is ready to bring even more music to the world with his brand new “Cossack” label, still collaborating with different artists from all over the world but much more concentrated on his own releases.
