Established in 2009, This power duo dub consist of DJ/Producer Bruno Cruz, and MC/VOC Walaa Sbait. They were inspired to form combined elements from reggae music with Palestinian folklore and dance.  This fusion was achieved through the integration of dub music. Then they brought the Dabke Dance and Mijwiz sound to match up to breaks of hip-hop and Dancehall, calling for the emergence of the Arab-A-Dub style. 

Ministry Of Dub Key has a philosophy behind its name, ‘Ministry’ refers to the band’s collaborative spirit in sharing the same messages and purpose. ‘Dub’ came from their approach in music production while ‘Key’ is a tribute to exiled Palestinians and as a symbolizing of their return to their home.

Ministry Of Dub Key (M.D.B.K Subculture) initiate their own ragga movemant, freedom for all people, palestinian resistance style based on the inspiration from Jamaican music culture. The spirit who taught to resist through music and dance, to break down the chains of apartheid, and live up the love and life. 

Dubkey (a homonym word of dabke) is the cross-path of two musical exoduses in a quest after the sound of home and Roots, it’s where Afro-Caribbean Dub and Ragga meets Palestinian Dance and flow. A bridge of sound and movement which connects the shores of Jamaica with the hills of the Nazareth in one path to knowledge, justice & freedom.    

They brought the impeccable musical criss-cross work with resistance theme which was inspired by Rastafarian ideology on their song ‘Dumyeh Plastikieh’ (Plastic Doll). 

Another outstanding approach of the fusion from Ministry Of Dub Key can be traced on their   ‘El- thawra El-Khadra’ (The Green Revolution), a homage song they composed to support Tunisian Uprising in 2011.
