Istanbul based reggae band Bosphoroots released their debut LP “Rizom” after 2 years of hard work and dedication. Including 3 collaborations, “Rizom” features 9 tracks that were recorded at A2 Studio, Pür Recording Studio (Istanbul, TR) engineered by  Aras “Arastaman” Tüysüz & Ali Sak as the mixing and mastering engineer. Its artwork was designed by Murat Tolga & Berkay Öktem who also handled the photography for the album. “Rizom” is available now in all digital platforms distributed by Turkey’s only reggae collective Beton Orman.

In 2015, Bosphoroots built their foundation on the common base of Roots Reggae and also use Dub and Reggae Revival styles in their music. With the line up: Koray “Levvera” Sürücü (vocals), Fırat Bodur (Bass),Yağız Kayaoğlu (Drums), Yüce Akın (Keys),  Ergin Can Turhan (Guitar), Murat Tolga (Percussions), Önder Mutlu (Tenor Sax). 

The positive vibes and meaningful content they give to their listener is formed out of the universal message of Reggae has to offer with a twist of inspiration they get from their land. After a couple of singles, Bosphoroots (plus three guest musicians; Mert Fehmi Alatan, Ege Cengiz, and Fuatcan Başkır) were proud to present their debut LP “Rizom”.
