Japan is one of the countries known as the driving force of Jamaican music in the Asian region. Many competent figures were born from there, names that were consistent running the scene. One of them is Kuranaka A.K.A 1945, a producer of dub, jungle and downtempo born in Kyoto – Japan. Kuranaka started his career two decades ago.
He has appeared on various dance floors, both locally and internationally with his “super heavy” bass formula. Among them are prestigious events such as Outlook Festival Japan (Outlook Festival is a festival from Croatia), Exodus Island, A Taste Of Sonar and many more. He has also shared the stage with the big names and heavyweight act. Among others, with Lee “Scratch” Perry, Aba Shanti-i, Jah Shaka, Mad Professor, Zion Train, Congo Natty, Shy FX and many more.
Apart from being a music producer, he is also the founder of Zettai-Mu. An organizer that has held many Jamaican music parties on a sound system theme since 1995!
