Slowright – “Satu”

From the city of Malang, once again we have a new and fresh energy called Slowright, with the line-up; Lucky (vocals and acoustic guitar), Jono (drums), Radja (guitar), Peter (bass), Black (trombone) and Baihaqi (trumpet). Their presence was marked by the release of their debut single, “Satu”.

Spiritual messages are etched solemnly in this song. It opens with a meaningful diction of experience, then an invitation to re-interpret a rule and a personal synthesis of divinity.

A unique composition is well presented in this track. The trombone and trumpet sits wisely to this composition, perfectly matching the delay modulation in the guitar track. The downstroke of the acoustic guitar and the bass line that injects harmony smartly makes the rhythm section of this outfit sounds explorative, and reminds us of the ingenuity of Bradley Nowell with his Sublime.

Overall, the special herbs from “Satu” through its words of positive energy and its fresh touches in the arrangement is the reason from kultur to recommend you to check this beautiful track from the city of Malang.
