Polish dub producer and selector, Radikal Guru, has just concluded his Asian leg of his tour at Red Ruby, Bali – Indonesia. The last gig was held by the Bali Dub Club on Wednesday 12 April 2023. Previously, he had visited several Asian regions such as Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines.

Just before the party started, news broke that one of the pioneers of sound system and dub culture, Jah Shaka, had passed away. Red Ruby, Bali Dub Club and Radikal Guru agreed to make this event a tribute to the “Zulu Warrior”. The visual starts showing several pieces of photos with the words rest in power.

The enthusiasm of the audience to grab the bassline power of dub music did not fade. And at exactly 21:00 WITA, selector Gonzo collaborated with MC Elf Tranzporter, successfully to heat up the dancefloor by their own dub roots to digital magic. Then, dub unit from Jakarta and the collective representative of Gonja Hi Fi (Thailand), Yella Sky Sound System, also share their power to keep the flame.

The dance floor is heating up more, thanks to the selection of qualified dub selector General Rie. And, Radikal Guru as the headliner finally succeeded to make the night become unforgettable. Excellent tracks such as “Dread Commandments”, “Earthwalker” to “Sound System” are one of the reasons behind the powerful set by the protagonist. This party was nicely closed by the appearance of a jungle/drum and bass selector from Italy, JNK.

Bali Dub Club will again hold its signature annual party, “Summer Skank 420”, on April 20 2023 at Deus Ex Machina and will feature a number of special guests.
