Today’s review is a travelling shoes that take you to see ‘that side of the world.’ Yes, Jason Hersey, or who is well known as O-Shen is another irieginal talent from the Pacific island of Papua New Guinea (PNG). Just like the homophone of his moniker O-Shen is an Ocean.
He is the rhythm of the peaceful sea, yet a strong currents of the Pacific Ocean rumbling from a man of peculiar and multicultural background. Born in Washington, raised in PNG and living in Hawaii to much extent has given him a unique and authentic signature. After a long hiatus of making albums since 2013, O-Shen only came up with singles. As if he wanted to talk to his fans upon his short break, on June 10th he released a new single ‘Time Away.’ Sometimes people need a retreat, a moment to be alone. ‘Time Away’ is a vibration of O-Shen’s coming back stronger with the stomping of his Pacifika toasting style. “Time away you know you need it…time away you know you deserve it.”

Only a few days after the initial release, O-Shen launched another powerful song ‘Precipitation.’ As the title may suggest, the song is a cumulation of rain falling down to wash away the dryness of a long await. A sweet dedication to his fans, “Every drop is love.”
