The powerful group Easy Star All-Stars’ singer, Kristy Rock, has just released her 8 track solo debut. This new release is distributed by Easy Star Records.

Gently, Kristy led the journey through this LP. “Green Is” , a medium tempo track in the style of roots reggae who came with solid beats and basslines, successfully opened this album.

Various touches on each track in this debut really make the listeners see the charm that Kristy owns.  We can enjoy the thick aroma of the dub through “L.E.O”. While in “It’s Not the Same,” her collaboration with Ras Droppa, Kristy displays powerful energy, giving a suggestive command to the listeners to do the dance. In “Light It Up”, we can enjoy the solemnity that it brings, an anti-climax vibe in a fancy acoustic touch.

Kirsty Rock’s vocal strength indeed deserves two thumbs up. She managed to blend in perfectly into various arrangements through this LP. With a straightforward lyric formula, the themes in this album are also easy to enjoy.
