One of the trailblazer ska units from the city of Jakarta, ES CORET, has returned with “Berdansa di Keramaian Kota.” A new release that marks their 27 years of shaping Jamaican sound in Indonesia. More than a plain nostalgia, this album captures fragments of urban life, from the chaotic vibe on the streets they’ve witnessed firsthand to the celebration of “27th Struggle and Survive,” which has long served as their guiding mantra.
ES CORET remains with the same solid lineup. Their long-standing chemistry continues to be the foundation: Tembonk, Ganang, Tony, Raditya, Pieter, and Febby rework their older repertoire with a new breath, new maturity which still radiates the identity of this outfit.

The “nostalgia” in this album doesn’t stop for just a recollection. Berdansa di Keramaian Kota carries the message that resilience is not merely about staying alive, it’s about finding new rhythms, a bite sized happiness, and of course a dancehall to crash amid the city’s chaos.
Berdansa di Keramaian Kota was recorded at Studio Starlight and Studio P35, long-time workspaces under OffTheRecord/Bravo Musik Entertainment. ES CORET also entrusted their visual canvas to Denis Slepo, who lends a direct, unpretentious touch to the artwork department. Berdansa di Keramaian Kota is now available on all digital platforms, ready to pull listeners back to the fundamental rhythm: to endure, to move, and—when needed—to celebrate life as fiercely as they choose!
