Starting in 2015 at one of a campus in Indonesia, this ska outfit presents their infusion of various musical elements into their works and has been actively adding them into their list of discography. Until now, Skastra has released EPs, Singles and Albums continuously through the years. Renjana‘s debut EP was released in 2016 and the single Makan Hati (one of the soundtracks for the film ‘Security Ugal-Ugalan’) was released in 2017. At that same year, Skastra released their full album entitled Minor 7. Skastra added the single Rendez-vous in 2018. And a year later, add another two releases, single Linimasa and their sophomore album Persona.

Skastra’s latest line-up is an 8 members band, they are Faris Sutowijoyo (trombone) & Taufiq Alkatiri (trumpet) in the brass section. The rhythm section consists of Ibrahim Rahman (drums), Rasmana Raga (bass), Adi Ahdiat (guitar), Fazrin Mustakin (guitar) and Hanung T. Wibawa (keyboard) and The front woman, Alduri Asfirna. 

In 2020, Skastra was nominated in the category of “Best Reggae/Ska/Rocksteady Production Work” at AMI Awards for their single ‘Cepat-cepat’, taken from their second album Persona. With their mid-tempo groove formula and the  touch of evoking emotion from a minor-scale, Skastra brings their distinctive-poppish ska repertoire to the long list of Indonesian’s ska.
