Great Britain is known for the birth of many talented producers and musicians. Starting from dub action to jungle with various infusions in it. Darren Ibbetson or better known by the moniker DJI (Digi) is a producer, selector and musician from Leeds – England with the dub stepper style that we recommend in this edition.
His passion to produce steppers sound works is also backed up by his background as a musician and orchestra player, and has started as a producer several decades ago. He always does run the setlist of his own compositions, ones that are enriched by the melodies and solid bass lines. DJI is actively involved in many music collectives, including the UK Dub Squad, G.O.D Soundsystem and the powerful legendary unit, Iration Steppas.
DJI has produced several EPs and singles, including “Buddhist Warrior” (2019), “Bolivian Dub” (2019), EP “The One” (2020), EP “March of the Damned” (2021). Currently, he is preparing LPs for his debut LP which is planned to be released in 2022.
