One of the most charming DJs and producers from Malaysia has come up with a new work. The man who previously made his musical debut with the musical outfit Assault & Battery is getting more solid through his solo act. Easybaba Sound has just released a collaboration single track “Duyung Berenang ” with Illya Sumanto as his chanteuse.

Starting with a “versatile” 7th minor chord, Easybaba Sound already offers a lot of fun possibilities in this 4 minute 33 second song. He cleverly brings the LFO modulation pad sound on the intro. This is reminiscent of the 80s era rock lovers music ambience.

And when Illya Sumanto starts dancing with her twisted Malay vocals infusion, it seems like reaffirming the idea to bring various moods in only a track produced by Easybaba, a man who is known as one of the highlights of dub acts in Malaysia.

The placement of the dub-style FX elements in the track with chillax groove is also worthy of being a catchy gimmick, it shows the maturity of the producer to make the listeners follow him to feel many ambiences he just composed. A metaphor of freedom in the lyrics also solidifies these ideas.
