Rhoda Dakar Covers Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold The World”

A legendary 2Tone’s songstress, Rhoda Dakar is back with her new work. This time, The Bodysnatchers’ frontwoman who also once lent her voice for The Specials and Madness did a rendition of one of Bowie’s prominent songs, “The Man Who Sold The World.”

This song was a work that Rhoda did with British producer and guitarist, Lenny Bignell, who also acted as a mixing engineer. And backed by musicians from Marley Drummond (drums), Andi McLean (bass), Roger Rivas (keyboards), Nathan Austin Thomas (backing vocals) and Joff Watkins (harmonics). This song was recorded at Perry Vale Studios, London – England by engineers Pat Collier and Rivas Studios, Los Angeles – USA and mastered by Transition Mastering. Pete McKee did the artwork for this single set.

Rhoda Dakar’s version of “The Man Who Sold The World” is available in digital form and vinyl format will be available on February 25, 2022.
