Kultur Mix #6

A set from AlexDub of Culturedub

AlexDub is a Frenchman behind a concept called “Culture Dub”. A concept that keeps on asserting dub itself to the world since 1999 until now. Started with paper format, Culture dub began its crucial movement in 2001. Then AlexDub brings his brainchild further into another phase, Radio! About 2 years, he hosted a 2 hours show which delivered news, interviews, agenda, new releases and in between within dub realm from all over the world. And of course he also delivered his own fancy live set, strictly vinyl mix.

In 2005, this concept; Culture Dub became a one stop website about dub. This site provides the wider chronicles than its previous phase. Here on this site, people even can listen to the podcasts, watch the video interviews, watch the most updated video releases and enjoy its own flawless “Culture Dub Jukebox” which provide exclusive mixes as well as the free downloadable music from dub artists over the world.

AlexDub then elevated the thoughts behind the concept of Culture Dub higher. Started in 2010 Culture Dub became a record label who releases vinyl alongside digital formats through its own netlabel via bandcamp with lots of well known rosters.

AlexDub is also known for his ability to make people skank by his own selection, ones that always contained dubplate and big tunes, from 80’s digital force to dub stepper . He shared the stage with lots of big names, from Asian Dub Foundation, Vibronics, Zion Train, Iration Steppas, Bush Chemists, Horace Andy, High Tone, OBF Sound System, Panda Dub, Dubmatix, Brain Damage, Mayd Hubb & Joe Pilgrim, Riddim Tuffa, Ackboo, Shamani Sound System, Mahom, Mexican Stepper, Legal Shot Sound System, Alpha Blondy, Soul Stereo, Nucleus Roots, Jah Love Sound System, Blackboard Jungle, Salomon Heritage, Legal Shot, Jah Militant, and Big Red to name a few. Now he teamed up with a French saxophonist Guru Pope and other guests to keep shaking the dance floor.

AlexDub of “Culture Dub”

Since 1999 until now, AlexDub with his Culture Dub never stops spreading the love of dub. Never stops sharing independence spirit as well as its philosophy, by continuing to transmit a militant and uncompromising message with an audience in search of sincerity and pure emotions for and from dub itself! He believed that dub cannot only be listened to but to live it!
He also believes the good vibes of ‘sharing is caring’ in the name of dub, like Prince Buster said so well; “The music of the People for the People”
