Arye de Siul, A reggae outfit that was founded on September 10, 2013. The word “ari e” (Manus-Manggarai Timur-Flores) means a form of appreciation for an art; “De” as a possessive pronoun. Meanwhile, “siul” stands for “Silent Soul” (peace of mind).

The main figure of this group is the frontman Ary himself, a man from Manggarai – Flores who now lives in Yogyakarta. He explained that it takes peace of mind to appreciate certain works because that is the right time for us to discover the beauty of those works.

Ary was accompanied by Gratiand Habun (lead guitar), Kamil (keyboard & backing vocals), Rument Korebima (Bass), Livin Huller (drums) in composing his music. The foundation of their music color is the combination of roots reggae and blues. They add social issues for the lyrics, also about the togetherness and the peace.

Their discographies include: “Voice From The East”, “Silent Voice”, “Rumah”, “Hanya Senyuman”, “Gadis Ajaib” and “Close Your Eyes”. In addition, there are several collaboration numbers, such as, “Petunjuk” with Claudio Lamudin and “We Carry Reggae” with Argentine musicians, Don Vito and Saga Vibes. Also, “Lagu Rindu (Tribute to Joden Gybson)” which is dedicated to one of the initiators of the early formation of Arye De Siul, who has passed away.
