Roy Macan Drops “One Drop Love Affair”, A Laidback Reggae Cut Built for the Dancefloor
Roy Macan returns with a new single, “One Drop Love Affair,” released digitally on April 3, 2026 via Kultur Records.
The track sits firmly in laidback reggae territory, designed with a clear function: the dancefloor. Built on the classic one drop rhythm—a defining element of Jamaican music—Roy Macan shifts its role from a drum pattern into something more immediate, using it as a pulse that drives interaction in the room.

From the opening line, “Nice and easy, baby,” the track sets its pace. It doesn’t rush. It invites. As the phrases “So, move how you please” and “Your heartbeat is my one drop melody” come into play, the intention becomes clear—this is not just a track, but a cue for movement.
The release continues to reinforce Roy Macan’s position as a consistent presence in Indonesia’s dance circuit. The formula is direct: steady groove, controlled sensuality, and energy that stays measured throughout.
Production on the track involves contributors across multiple locations. Indonesian Producer duo, Rootsoniq handles production duties, while Tegi Merkuri takes care of mixing at Tom Tam Studio in Jakarta. Mastering is completed via a cloud-based system in Colorado, USA. Additional vocal layers from Loli Rh are recorded at Bluebox Studio in Tunisia, with artwork by Gérald Wirianata.
Beyond its functional role on the dancefloor, the track captures a specific moment—when the tempo dips, lights go low, and interactions begin to shift. It reflects a transition point, where movement turns into something more personal.
“One Drop Love Affair” serves as an opening statement for Roy Macan’s upcoming project in 2026. With its straightforward approach and accessibility, the track is positioned to circulate widely across sets in the near future.
