Dubhouse, a music imprint from Bandung, recently orchestrated a vibrant dancefloor gathering at Plantica Beer Garden, Bandung. Known for their groundbreaking release Nusantara Dub Connection in 2020, Dubhouse teamed up with the powerhouse Surabaya-based collective, Simmerdown Sub, for an electrifying night on January 25th.

From the early evening, the atmosphere was nothing short of warm and exhilarating. The headliners took the stage with sheer joy and dynamic energy, delivering a colorful array of performances—starting with the fantastic grooves of Poompoom and Downbeat, followed by the live-dub mastery of Radit Echoman. Yella Sky Sound kept the momentum going with a solid selection of dubplates, while Thomas Glaop injected fresh energy into vintage sounds, then followed by Roadblock Dub Collective with their digital set. The charismatic duo Kusni Kasdut offered unforgettable gigs as well, leading to an even more intimate dancefloor experience when Magixriddim took over, followed by Mote Soundsystem, before the night reached its peak with a powerful closing set from Anjing Dub.

DNL FX, representing Dubhouse and overseeing this celebration, hinted that Simmerdown might be touring multiple cities across Indonesia. This promises to be an unmissable series of high-energy gigs that the public should definitely look forward to.
