The song is one of soundtracks produced by Jeymes Samuel, a British-Nigerian director, in a movie project of the same title “The harder They Fall” which premiered on Netflix in October 2021. Here Koffee dwells with legendary names like Barrington Levy, Lauryn Hill and Jay Z.
With the background setting of the 19th century Wild West, both the film and soundtracks depict America wild age as an important source of formulation and adaptation that shows dialectics process rooted in contextual and intertextual history in creatively reinterpreting history from post-colonial perspective in constructing a narration that shows progress and modernity.
