One of the inter-city ska collectives in Indonesia, ISC (Indonesian Ska Connection) held a series of events in March 2022 entitled “Moods Hour.” A pre-party for their upcoming “Skarnaval Festival 2022.”

“Moods Hour” is divided into three series of events; “Intimate Skacoustic Session” (March 5) at Rumah Bergerak (Cipinang), “Food Defender Tour” (March 6) at No Logic Cafe (Sabang-Central Jakarta) and “An Early Rawk and Dirty Reggae Explosion” (27 March) at Penny Lane Cafe (Pramuka, Central Jakarta).
“Intimate Skacoustic Session” featured an energetic ska unit from Surabaya, The Dance Going On. And the “Food Defender Tour” featured a respectful ska unit from the city of Solo El Magnifico, which was also supported by performances from Senin Pagi SKa, Berangcuts, The Regards and The Dance Going On, as well as a talk show with Norman Saputra, the author of “I Wanna Skank Track Ska on Jakarta Era 1996-2006” book.

Let’s look forward to the final series of ISC events at the end of this month.
