The charmful ska unit from Jakarta, Monkey Boots, is celebrating Labor Day this year by presenting a rendition of The End’s “Kelas Pekerja”.
Edwin Maulana, one of the champions of the Jamaican sound scene in the country as the singer of Monkey Boots, has reconstructed the original composition “Kelas Pekerja,” written by Adhitya Murti, the frontman of The End. He got backed up by Rendy Kopay as the operator who recorded the song at Ear House, as well as support from the multitalented scenester Adya Nadira as the mixing-mastering engineer.
This track, which tells the story of the working class, also stands as a curtain-raiser from Monkey Boots upcoming work.
