In the midst of the ongoing global pandemic, various events must be adjusted, some of them have to be presented virtually. To quench the thirst for Jamaican music parties, especially ska, Indonesia Ska Connection (ISC) will hold an online ska festival entitled “Skarnaval”. This party from ISC which is supported by G-Pro Indonesia will take place on March 28, 2021 via the Live Disini streaming app (can be downloaded for free via Playstore) at 09.00 am WIB.

Several leading line ups across the region are ready to present their set. Lots of Indonesian ska bands will gather in this gig, starting from the cities of Padang, Lampung, Jakarta, Bekasi, Depok, Sukabumi, Bandung, Cirebon, Salatiga, Semarang, Kendal, Kediri, Blitar, Tulungagung, Surabaya, Malang, Bali and Lombok. They will share their repertoires at this “Skarnaval”, which is held for free and carries the theme “Surviving The Pandemic In Solidarity”.

Wirastomo Hizbul Wathon or familiar with Wiro, as one of the initiators of this event explained to the kultur that, “This event was held apart from being part of realizing the dream of Indonesia Ska Connection at the beginning of 6 May 2016 in Tawangmangu Solo. Also as part of the community’s attitude to anticipate this pandemic, with support from kitabisa.com to raise donations either directly or by purchasing merchandise”.
