The excitement of the Jamaican music scene in Indonesia has now produced many names from various regions with a choice of different genres and subgenres. One of them is The Glow. A ska unit that was born in mid-early 2010 in the city of Solo – Central Java.

The Glow means a color that is lit by this ska unit as a form of consistency of their movement. 

With the line up containing Rio (vocals), Mula (bass), Wedha (guitar), Evan (saxophone), Dhimas (tenor), Bagas (trumpet) and Ginduz (keyboard.) They have released several works. “Pesona Nusantara”, “Bersuka Ria”, “Ku Suka Musik Ska“, “Dulu” and “Selalu Ceria” are their discography so far.

The sweet energy brought by this ska unit seems to have turned into a positive signal from the Surakarta area for the dynamics of the Ska scene in Indonesia. They manifest this in several works that are always worth looking forward to.
