Jambi City Royals is a musical duo with Jamaican roots & culture, touch of reggae and dancehall. Mighty Che and R-Youth , are two cousins who teamed up in April 2020 as the musical comeback from Mighty Che after a 7 years hiatus.

Mighty Che, (the former Babylonians’ vocalist) and R-Youth found they have a common idea about music through Jamaican culture & sound. They have an interest in combining so-called Jamaican culture with the sound of local cultures. They began to explore more of their hometown musical sound (Jambi) that has many colors from different tribes in Malayan culture.

They are now working on their upcoming album on the studio, one of the singles already used on an exclusive dubplate for their own fellow Indonesian outfit; Yella Sky Sound System.

With their own “Jammin inna de yard in brotherhood upon one’s guard”  tagline, this Jambi’s homegrown is a promising act that is worth waiting for. Check on them at their channel here.
