The sound system culture development in Europe never loses its progress. Many fascinating artists come from various parts of the countries on this continent. Ones that we’d like to recommend on this edition is an act  from Geneva – Switzerland, Derrick Sound.

Duo DJ, producer and MC with runs by Mr. Nico and Inspecta Derrick, started their careers in the 2000s through their debut appearances at Mythical K-Bar and Piment Rouge. They were inspired by David Rodigan, Fire Links and Tony Matterhorn. Derrick Sound then combines those inspirations with their own original unique style and their big energy. Starting from working on remixes, collecting dubplates to producing their own repertoire, their existence is unstoppable.

After they performed at the European Clash event and won two Geneva Clash, Derrick Sound began to focus on music producing and forming a music imprint known as Evidence Music in 2013. They collaborated with Little Lion Sound (one of the Europe leading Sound Systems from Switzerland). They started to add the music into their long discography. Among them are the works with famous musicians from Jamaica, such as “Bun Dem Down” with Capleton, “Life Good” feat. Anthony B, “Sunrise” with Sizzla and “Dreadlocks Thing” with Brother Culture. Until now, Derrick Sound still keeps on spreading the echo of their powerful music.
